How many people died in the famine and why?
Reports suggest that deaths may range from 7 to 14 million during the famine starvation was only one of many causes for dead. There are many sources for death during the famine many died not of starvation but of diseases that ran rampant throughout villages from the festering corpses of those that starved effecting the villagers who's bodies were too weak to fight off the infections.
